Birrificio San Gabriel

The San Gabriel craft brewery was founded in Busco di Ponte di Piave (TV) in 1997, on the initiative of Gabriele Tonon, who decided to channel his great passion for beer, combined with a deep knowledge of the local produce from the area between the Piave and Sile rivers, into the business. Production began in an old villa close to the ancient Benedictine Abbey, where medicinal beverages (including beer) were brewed as far back as the Middle Ages. The San Gabriel Agricultural Brewery drew inspiration from this history when devising its own recipes, thus ideally continuing the monks’ brewing tradition. Over the course of more than 20 years, San Gabriel has distinguished itself within the evolving landscape of Italian craft breweries, focusing on quality through meticulous attention to the production techniques of Bavarian masters and the constant search for local raw materials. Today, San Gabriel has a production capacity of almost 1 million litres per year, with more than 10 product lines, a widespread distribution network in Italy and abroad, and numerous quality awards won at international beer fairs.
